PRP

PRP is blood plasma that has been enriched with four to seven times the normal concentration of platelets. PRP therapy involves infiltration of this autologous platelet concentrate in the scalp for hair growth. Platelet plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Uses a concentration of the patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of hair roots. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient’s own healing system to improve hair growth. PRP triggers natural hair growth and maintains it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. It also leads to the production of new hair growth along with reducing further hair fall.

Is the treatment safe?

As the procedure uses a concentrate of cells from the patient’s own blood, it is not rejected by his immune system. It is by far the most natural and most safe form of treatment of hair loss.

How long does the treatment take?

Each session takes around 45 – 60 minutes.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

PRP therapy can be repeated every 1 – 2 months. Usually, 7 – 8 sittings are sufficient. However, more may be required with yearly or 6 monthly maintenance sessions depending upon the severity of hair loss. Visible improvement in the form of new hair may be seen at the end of 1 – 2 months with further improvement in subsequent months.

At Dashore’s DHL Centre, we make a special form of PRP. Dr Shuken Dashore has done special research on PRP for which he has won various awards like Best Innovation award and IADVL National President’s appreciation award. In our PRP, we make sure that the patient receives the required dose of platelets in each case. This is the reason behind all our patients getting consistent results.
